I was tied to a chair. Grrr... I was getting sick of this. Passing out. Tied to a chair. It happened in that order. This time was slightly different however. It wasn't rope that held me to the chair but the vines of two Vileplumes stood just a few feet away (the Vileplumes looked slightly different to the regular breed - something about their petals). This was all just bloody lovely.
I looked around and noted that I was probably on the fifth floor, as here, the mist was thicker than on the fourth floor, and rather than it being empty, there was a large chair at the end of the room, well it was more of a throne actually. It was made of wood and vines and sat upon it was a woman with purple hair and a lab coat. She glowered in my direction then smiled when looking to my left.
How was I going to get out of this one?
"Brock, Brock, Brock, Brock. What am I to do with you? Here you are, hanging around with this Nurse Joy. Could you not stand to wait at your Gym? Did you have to run away with the first girl who happened to be there? You disappoint me."
Brock was close by, wrapped in vines and hanging from the ceiling. He looked scared but not the "Oh man, we're going to die" but the "Oh man, my evil ex is here".
"Ivy... do we... do we really have to do this again? I left... because of... you know."
"Did you leave because of Hope, Charity and Faith?"
"No..."
"Then what was it? I thought you cared. I thought you understood me."
"I do care but..."
"Yes...?"
Brock shifted uncomfortably. "I hate children. I like breeding and making them but when it comes to looking after them... I... I hate them."
"What about my beautiful plant Pokémon?"
Their conversation was interrupted by an explosion. The wall of the building blasted apart and in stepped Purple. He wore a cape and a Crobatman mask on his face to disguise his features. Genius. Beside him stood a thing... I wasn't sure what it was but it warped the air about it like heat distorts sight. It moved towards me and sent a Water Gun towards the Vileplumes that burned them upon impact. It burned them, what was up with that? The two grass Pokémon fled towards Ivy who stood up from her throne and ordered her Pokémon to stand back.
Purple's Pokémon was... messed up. Just by looking at it, I felt sick. Whatever it was, it wasn't safe. Trust Purple to find something like this. Still, it was helping. It was then when Gastly appeared to join in the fray. I wondered if my ghost Pokémon could last longer than five seconds, even with Purple's... thing aiding him.
Ivy moved towards Brock with her Vileplumes and folded her arms beneath her breasts. "You can have the Nurse Joy, but I'm staying here with Brock. We have unfinished business."
Purple demanded a badge. I'm not sure if he knew what a badge was, but he was sure Brock had one and he wanted it. Brock said that Purple would have to challenge Flint (his father) if Purple wanted to get the Pewter Badge.
Purple shrugged his shoulders then decided to leave (without me).
Fortunately by this point, the Vileplumes had decided to let me go, so I was able to follow Purple out of the building while calling at Gastly to come lest he faint before we escape. The next time I was at a Pokémon Center , I was going to put him in a PC. There was no point in...
There was a bang and a Vileplume fainted upon the floor. Gastly floated, proud at his accomplishment. I wasn't impressed really. Obviously, the flamethrower had done most of the work. Still, a win was a win and...
Suddenly, Gastly grew hands and spiky hair! HE GREW BLOODY HANDS! Now he could be handy in battles! (Handy... get it? Because he has hands now? It's funny you know? Hands? Handy?)
Handy Gastly (I was going to call him Handy from now on) floated by us both, laughing merrily at his new form. The Pokédex said he was now a Haunter. Hopefully he wouldn't fail as badly as his Gastly form.
Anyways, I continued my escape with Purple and eventually got to the ground outside the PokéMart. I was relieved to be out of the chair and away from Brock. No more breeding nonsense. No more love stuff. Now I had Purple beside me.
A pity Purple didn't know who I was for some reason. I tried to tell him that I was Pink but he seemed to think I was just some crazy Nurse Joy. Why were people thinking this all of a sudden? What was wrong with everyone? Even Purple was calling me Nurse Joy!
I decided I would prove to Purple I was Pink and there was only one way to do that. We were going to Lavender Town . It was time he met my dead parents.
Hope to see you again soon.
Pink Joy
