Pink, Day 23: Hitchhikers guide to the moon!

I woke up with a headache.  Go figure.  Fortunately, there wasn't a Nurse Joy here to greet me.  Nope, the person who had woken me up was the crazed scientist from before.  He sounded happy that I had awoken.

"Welcome, Lady of Joy, to my supreme secret base of secrets!  Mwahahahahaahaha!  I am Seymour!  King Seymour who will become King Seymour Armstrong and be the first person to fly to the MOOOOOOONNN!"

What the bloody hell?  I wasn't in the mood for any clowns.  Annoyed, I tried to get up but guess what?  Should I bother typing it?

I was tied to a bloody chair.  Nope.  I wasn't going to do anything.  I was going to sit here and let whatever would happen, happen.  Forget it, I was done.

Brock was in a chair too beside me, tied and struggling like crazy to get out.

Seymour stood with his twenty Clefairies and grinned at us.  "You will get to bear witness to the most magical scientific event of the millennia!  This is my destiny and your Pokémon will help fuel that dream of going to the MOOOOOONNNNN!"

I saw my Pokémon across the cave area.  They were all working in chains on some sort of machine.  I wasn't sure if Seymour realised that my Gastly was a ghost Pokémon and couldn't be in chains.  Still, even if Gastly did help, there were twenty bloody Clefairies ready to attack us.  Above us all there was a large opening in the cave ceiling, big enough to allow the sunlight to shine in and much more.

Brock shouted at Seymour, telling him he wouldn't get away with all this, and that he would escape and rescue his beloved.  That meant me.  Can I type "Sigh"?  Sigh.  Of course, there was nothing we could do.  We had to wait until this was over or until something stupid happened.  Where was Purple anyway?

As Seymour danced around his machine, inspecting the Pokémon as they worked, he explained his plan to go to the moon.  "Well you see, when this machine is completed, these Clefairies will control it and I will be inside the cockpit, enjoying the ride.  It took quite a while to get the Improbability Drive set up, not to mention making it compatible with the Flux Capacitor but all is working thanks to these Clefairies who have aided me in my quest!  While I am inside the machine, I will rise from the ground and to the MOOONNNN, a place so majestic and magical that no human nor Pokémon has ever seen before!  It will be one small step for man and one giant leap for MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!  I will be viewed as the best scientist ever!  All will give me respect and money and Pokémon and women!"  He moved over to the "cockpit" of the machine.  It consisted of a chair on some rock and wood, which was connected to some metal bits put together.  "Mr Gym Leader Brock, Nurse Joy and the many Pokémon, all of you will get to see this most epic event!  Its soooo simple yet soooo complex!"

It was then when I snapped.  He called me Nurse Joy.  It was his fault.  I told my Gastly to attack and my Pokémon followed suit.  Brock told his Geodude and Onyx to fight as well.  We were going to break out of this!  We were going to escape!  We were going to...!

Bloody Clefairies.

It was a good attempt but now Brock was unconscious and I was on the floor, still tied to the chair.  My Pokémon were beaten and now they were watched carefully by the many Clefairies.  Seymour was staring down at me.  "Nice try, Bones!"

I shouted back at him.  "Bones?  I'm a Pokémon Trainer not a Nurse!"

"Hahahahahaa!  You lie so badly!  You won't fool me!  Now stop talking to me you mere human life form, for now I must boldly go where no man... uh... I mean I must boldly go where no one has gone before!"

The machine started rattling and shifting on the ground.  Seymour walked into the cockpit and sat down then ordered the Clefairies to form a circle around the machine and for them to cast Metronome.  In unison, the Clefairies complied and the machine started to lift off the ground.  I couldn't believe me eyes.  Seymour was starting to fly his machine!

"To infinity and BEYOND! Here I go to SPACE!  TO THE MOOOOONNNNN!  TO A BETTER TOMORROW WHERE GATES LET YOU TRAVEL ACROSS THE STARS, WHERE CYLONS WAGE WAR IN THE GALAXY, WHERE THE SITH MOW DOWN ALL THAT STAND IN THEIR WAY, WHERE MY LITTLE PONYTA GOES BEYOND THE UNIVERSE IN AWESOMENESS, WHERE...!"

The machine shook in mid-air then fell abruptly, hitting the ground with a loud clamour of metal, wood and stone.

A few seconds passed and it took a moment for the silence to fall into whispers.

Seymour barely clambered out, only managing to crawl a bit across the ground from beneath the machine (though machine it was, now it was pretty much just a mess).  He glared at me and said, "Clefairies, my friends!  Look at what they have done to me.  Look at what that Doctor Evil has done to me and that bad excuse for a Sulu impersonator!  Look at what they have done!  They've ruined everything!  They've ruined my dream!  My destiny!  Punish them... punish them!  Ugh... ugh... he's... he's dead, Jim!  Ughh...!"

The Clefairies started to dance around Seymour and they used Screech together, making me and no doubt the Pokémon temporarily deaf.  What next happened was as much as a surprise as it was awful to watch.  The Clefairies used Pound on Seymour's body.  They used the move again and again and again.  It was as if they were waiting for this moment.  They wanted Seymour dead.  They were waiting for it and now it had actually happened.  They were free to unleash their hatred upon their oppressive owner.  This mad scientist.  All of the Clefairies' "servitude" to this insane man was a mere ruse to get rid of him it seemed.  They seem to hate him more than I ever could.

They beat Seymour to blood and bones and mush.  I wished I could have turned away but the angle of the chair and my head made it impossible.  I watched this murder happen.  It was like blowing out a candle that was just about to flicker away with a bloody hurricane.  They wanted to be sure Seymour was dead.

After the Clefairies were done, they released all of the Pokémon from their chains then they untied my knots, letting me free of the chair.  Brock's knots were undone too but he was still unconscious.  Now the question was, should I leave him here?  He could die if I left him here.  Decisions, decisions.  I didn't want him following me around but I also didn't want to be in trouble with the police again.  No... sadly, I had to take him with me.  As much as I wanted to leave the bloody idiot behind.

Machamp lifted the Rock Gym Leader over his shoulder and we headed out of the area, hoping to find the way out of Mt Moon from there.  The Clefairies performed some strange chant and dance as we went.  I waved goodbye and smiled, though in truth I was worried they would turn on me.  The bloody nasty savages.  Why they had served that crazy scientist in the first place was beyond me.

Never mind.

Hope to see you again soon.
