Pink, Day 19: I'm off to see the professor, the wonderful professor of Pokémon! Eventually.

I felt better when I woke up but that feeling soon dissolved when I saw where I was.  I was in bed and in the bloody Pokémon Center.  The Nurse Joy was looking down on me and carried a cup full of green liquid.  She placed it to my lips and said it would be good for me.  I tried to resist but in the end I swallowed the bloody stuff.  Probably poison knowing my bloody luck.

The Nurse Joy had "provided" some clean clothes since mine seemed all worn and whatnot.  So I had been wearing them for a while?  So bloody what?!

I was given food and some water to help me back to my feet.  I ate the bloody food, left the bloody water, put the bloody "clean" clothes on, picked up my bag (that was sat on the bedside table beside me), and got up as soon as my legs could support me.

As I wobbled over to the exit, the Nurse Joy came to stop me.  She said that I wasn't ready or something but I told her to get lost and left the bloody building, slamming (weakly) the door shut after me.

Stood there, leaning on the building wall, I made sure I still had my Pokémon.  They were all there.  Phew.  I didn't feel much like walking, so instead, I slid down the wall and sat on the ground for a while.  I needed to get away from Cinnabar Island, away from the Nurse Joy (why else would I be having problems with my head?).  I could come back in a while perhaps to have a second go at Blaine's Badge but for now, I just needed to get away.

Thinking about a direction to go in, I pondered about my decision on investigating the Nurse Joys' secrets.  In all honesty, I wished I had never attempted to figure them out.  Obviously, they were trying to stop me or something.  They had given me headaches and bullied me with strange dreams and all of this was to get me to leave.  So that settled it.  I decided I would not pursue their weird secret anymore.  It just wasn't worth it.  All I wanted now was to go and visit my Uncle Gio.  He was in Viridian City (I called him and he seemed to be fine) and that meant heading across the sea to Pallet Town and beyond.  Perhaps I could see Professor Oak during my travels.

Hmm, I wasn't sure what to do.  Everywhere I went, I seemed to bump into Officer Jennys or Nurse Joys.  Would they leave me along now that I planned to leave them?

After a little while resting, I got up and opened the door to the Pokémon Center and told the Nurse Joy that I would stop trying to uncover their peculiar clandestine.  She looked taken aback as if she didn’t know what I was talking about but that was all right.  From now on that was how things were going to be.  They would pretend to be nice and I would pretend to not know anything.

Satisfied that I had solved this little problem (or at least started to solve), I walked to the beach.  My legs felt a bit better now and I was able to stand and survey the vast blue ahead.  Pallet Town was just north of my location and my Uncle Gio just a little further along.

Vaporeon wasn't too happy about surfing with me again but I promised this would be the last time for a long while.  He obeyed my command solemnly and I sat on his back.

So now I'm off on the bluish water road to see the wonderful professor of Pokémon.  And then my Uncle Gio.

Woot...

Hope to see you again soon.
