Pink, Day 22: Rocks and Brocks.

Yet again, I refused to allow Brock to share my tent, even though it was raining.  He had been asking all night (his whimpering woke me up three times at least).  Eventually he gave up and sighed, holding up an umbrella over his head to protect him from the early morning weather.  I needed to take a leafgreen out of Cyan's book and kill this man.  I had to, there was no choice.  There would just have to be seven badges for the Pokémon League, or perhaps I could take his job.  I would make a good Gym Leader.  I wouldn't suck for starters.

My Machamp and Growlithe had kept guard for the night and continued to do so through the early morning.  I decided to catch some more hours of rest.

When I woke up, the sky was clearer and Brock was fast asleep on the ground (his umbrella was sprawled out over him).  There was a Geodude beside him who snoozed too.  Quietly, I packed up my things and returned my Pokémon to their respective Pokéballs then left.

I did my best to keep as silent as I could while I headed towards my next destination.  I managed five steps.  Brock got up quickly and smiled while he said "Morning, my love" and laughed as he started to walk with me.  Well bloody fuck on a Dewgong's broken neck!  At this rate, I was never going to get rid of him!

My thoughts went to Purple and how he would handle a situation like this.  There would probably be some sort of explosion involved.  Cyan would probably beat Brock to a pulp or at least try to.  Andrew, well, he was pretty useless.

Begrudgingly, I allowed Brock to follow.  Perhaps I could use him for something or even bury him in the cave ahead.  Mt Moon was a pretty large cave (probably not as large as that cave south of Fuchsia) and there were loads of Zubats and Geodudes and the odd Paras here and there, maybe one of them could kill Brock.

I managed to capture a Zubat and Geodude (only to add to my Pokédex of course, those Pokémon were pretty awful - well Golem would be cool but I didn't want one).  When I got the Geodude, Brock nearly cried with awe and for some reason, this increased his love for me.  This was really getting weird.

As we went on through Mt Moon, we encountered a fair amount of trainers.  I didn't really want to battle so Brock took over, taking on anyone who would "try to harm my lovely darling".  I wanted to puke.

We eventually came to a man who wanted to battle for two fossils.  At the end of it (because I beat his Pokémon to death - good old Machamp), the man suggested we take one each.  I suggested I take both.  Brock seconded my thoughts.  The man tried to stop me and so I allowed Brock to intervene.  The Pewter City Gym Leader brought out his Onyx and ooohh boy, it beat that man badly.  I've never seen a man so bruised and broken.  They... they got a lot of blood.

I took the two fossils and headed for the end of Mt Moon.

"Clefairy is the best Pokémon ever!  You agree right?  That means you will give me your Pokémon, so we can go to the MOOOONNNN"  That voice came from a crazed scientist-looking man who stood before us, blocking our path.  Twenty Clefairies stood with him and together they started Metronome.

I don't remember what happened next.

Hope to see you again soon.
