Cyan, Day 16: Back Home

Well, I’m finally going back home, even if only for a short while. I left Lavender Town early in the morning, and started down the route towards Celadon. Having avoided the countless trainers, I reached the shack leading towards the Underground Tunnel in a hurry.

Now, while I went down this tunnel. Lots went through my mind. What would my mother think when I came back home to visit? Would she ground me? Did I leave the stove on when I left? All these questions and more did not run through my mind as much as my hatred for Cool Trainers.

Why did I hate Cool Trainers so much? The same reason many did. They were too normal! I mean seriously, you don’t have to stick to one type of Pokemon! There are many to choose from! Fire, water, grass, even psychic! Yet normal! That is what their preference is! I hope that they drown in their normality.

I’m sorry… I don’t know where that came from… Anyways, I arrived in Celadon early in the afternoon, not completely beat. My first plan was to visit my family, then hit up the mall and then go fight Erika, our local Gym Leader (another woman leader… Didn’t these broads stay in the kitchen like the good old days!?)

So, reaching my home, I dropped my things and hung up my hat. Alerting to my mother I was home, I did the thing that any man who had been gone for an extended period of time would do… Check Facebook. Basically, I did not have much going on, I had a few statuses that had been liked, the pictures from my vacation in Diglett Cave were up (good times!) You know, all the cool stuff.

My mother appeared not to be home, so I took some money from her wallet and picked up my stuff exclaiming, “GOING OUT! SPENDING YOUR MONEY! NOT COMING BACK! GOOD BYE FOREVER!” All of this was totally true, I didn’t plan on coming back. My second stop happened to be by the mall, so I could spend all of my money (well technically my mother’s) on useful junk, like Pokeballs, Fire Stones, and Carbos (good for the soul!) Sure, I wouldn’t use half of them, but they were on sale! Therefore, the rule of Pokemon Trainers (women, and small children), if it’s shiny, it must be had. It must be had even more if it’s shiny AND at a reduced price.

I left the mall, and went towards the gym. Although, I did not stay for long, because of the sign that said, “Absolutely no men allowed” right across the sign that said “Celadon Gym”. That was understandable. Women were fragile, and I did have a very large Diglett (it’s a euphemism for my testicular area. Get it?) in my trousers. So, I figured I would come back the next day to battle this obviously unstable she-beast.
