Dark. Cramped. Slightly arousing. All could be used as words to describe the Rock Tunnel. There was barely any light, and the only light that could be described as decent came from the entrance my Rhyhorn had spent the entire day smashing in for me.
Although it was dark and morose, I really was excited to be there. Finally, I would be able to catch Pokemon again! It had been a while since I had relaxed and just caught some Pokemon.
Okay, now let me clarify what relaxing and catching Pokemon is. Relaxing and catching them, is they jump out and you try to beat them enough that they are transferred to your PC for further capture. NOT RELAXING includes what has been happening to me. I have been mauled. Zubats have come and attacked me in droves, Geodudes have come and whaled into my stomach and, I think a Caterpie came and gave me a colonoscopy.
Caves, NOT a relaxing place to capture Pokemon. On the upside, I have captured a Geodude though (I’m thinking I’ll call him Rocky. Too generic?)
Basically, I needed to at least have some light in the cave to continue onwards. For this. I had Charmeleon. We went through the dimly lit cave, occasionally barbequing whatever came to attack us. I would like to say I felt sorry for the poor bats and worms that came after me, but this wasn’t any old Pokemon battle. This was full on Poke-Cave Wars.
When I finally saw a light at the end of the tunnel, I nudged Charmeleon to run with me towards it. As we ran closer to the light, we noticed it was getting more and more blocked. Why would that be? Had the sun gone on vacation.
A giant rock snake was blocking our path. The PokeDex called it Onyx. I on the other hand, referred to it as a gigantic pain in the tukas. I commanded Charmeleon to burn it to death but all it did was give it’s skin a smoked finish. The beast roared and I sent out Rhyhorn to help my Charmeleon fight the good fight. It made short work of my two beasts. I was frustrated. Finally, I picked up a rock and chucked as hard as I could at it’s eyes!
What I threw was a Kakuna. It split in half right on the Onyx’s face, unleashing a Pokemon that I had only heard stories about. Beedrill. They scraped valiantly, Beedrill drilling into Onyx’s eyes, Onyx ripping off one of Beedrill’s arms. So, I threw Pokeballs at them and caught them. I’m out of Rock Tunnel now, and starting to get into Lavander Town. This place is weird, I mean, I feel like there are dead people following me.
