Pink, Day 4: Uncle Gio

Its my Uncle Gio's birthday today, so I sent him a card and some chocolates.  He called me to say thanks and said, though he couldn't visit himself, he had sent someone to say "hello" to me personally in his stead.  It was a cute little Bulbasaur!  I love my Uncle Gio.

Three years ago, my parents died in a tragic snowmobile accident. They crashed into a tree, trying to avoid a bloody herd of Piloswine.  It was an horrific sight.  But these days I'm used to their appearance since I can see them whenever I go to the tower in Lavender Town.  Other people say they can't but that's because they lack the gift, I'm not crazy.  Nope.

With them both gone, I didn't have any finanical support and my home was nearly repossessed.  Luckily for me, my Uncle Gio intervened to make sure I still had a roof over my head, and he gave me access to funds for food and stuff.  I really love my Uncle Gio.

Since Purple ran off yesterday when I asked him how many Pokémon he had, (and he runs FASSSSSSTTTTT!), I have been looking around Saffron, enjoying the sights and making sure I got some information on the Gym Leader there.  People said that Sabrina was a very tough trainer with powerful Psychic Pokémon, which meant that with a few dark Pokémon, I might have a good chance at beating her, or even destroying her.  Sadly, I had no dark Pokémon at this point and it turned out I couldn't fight the Gym Leader before meeting an old Professor in Pallet Town.  Pallet Town was a very long way from here so I asked if there was some way to enable me to get sorted without travelling so far.  The people of the Pokémon Gym said I could try calling the old man from the Pokémon Center.

The bloody Pokémon Center.  Why did I always seem to get dragged back there?

I got to the damn bloody place and asked to call the Pallet Town Professor.  The Nurse Joy agreed though said I should smile a bit more as the morning was nice and bright.  Bloody Nurse Joys telling me what to do!  I am investigating you... clone... monster... person... THING!

The Pokémon Professor introduced himself as Professor Samuel Oak and said he recognised me.  Apparently, this man was the one who had sent a Pokémon Aide to greet me in Lavender Town to give me my Gastly.  He added that my Uncle had informed the Professor I was ready to start my travels.  I think I can remember the Pokémon Aide telling me I would have to go to Pallet Town or something to set things off and that I could get to know Gastly on the way.  That was when Purple and... well that's a detail for another day.

Eventually, Professor Oak used a Kedabra to send me a Pokédex and said I could start going for badges when I wanted now.  He added he wanted to see me personally but he was presently too busy to come over himself, so instead, I should drop by Pallet Town someday.  With that sorted, I said my goodbyes and left.  Quickly.  Anything, to get away from the Nurse Joy.  Bloody ANYTHING!

I came back to find Purple with a Koffing.  He told me that it was his prized Pokémon and insisted on calling it "Koff Koff".  The poor Koffing looked like it was dying the way it coughed whenever it used Poison Gas or Smokescreen.  Purple seemed oblivious to his Koff Koff's pain but at the same time he showed much love to his Koffing in the form of hugs and playing fetch.  Sometimes it was Purple who fetched things too.

While I'm writing this, Purple is fighting with a jar, as he got his hand stuck inside it, trying to reach the last rare candy.  He's eaten thirty of those and yet does not seem better in any regard.

Well currently, I have five Pokémon but no badges.  I need to start doing something about that, but I feel Sabrina is a bit too much for me at this point.  I need a dark Pokémon and I'm not sure where I can get one.  Maybe where its dark.  Maybe.

Keep on working, that's what I'm doing anyway.
