My destiny has been achieved. Today I set out on my quest to get to Pewter City and let me tell you, riding a Ryhorn is the most uncomfortable thing I have ever done in my life! It’s like constantly sitting on a bean-bag chair of rusty nails….
I did it though, I climbed up Diglett Cave, and I even found my own Diglett and caught it with my single poke ball (I should have stolen more!!!!) The only thing I’m wondering now is, where did the underground part of it go? I looked for a half hour but when I caught it, the hole it dug up was gone! It’s like it never existed in the first place!
Anyways, the way down was much more treacherous than the way up. First, my Ryhorn fainted due to exhaustion (and poisoning from that herd of Beedrill that we passed on the way to the cave) and I had to walk the rest of the way down. I lost my hat (and I fell and scraped my other knee) and all I had was my Diglett to rely on for protection.
…. We killed six Zubats one the way down….
But, I guess almost everything is well. I’ve made it to the Pewter City limits without passing through Viridian City or the Viridian Forest (that might have actually been an easier route to take. The downside is, there is a tree in my way and for some reason I can’t climb it, walk past it, or even run at it.
I guess I’m stuck with my Diglett until a trainer shows up to help me.
… This Pokemon looks absolutely disgusting (and where the hell does the hole it jumps out of go!?)
By the way, I don’t think I can go to Pewter to fight the Gym Leader. Apparently, to qualify we need some stupid thing called a “PokeDex”. I don’t see why, I know what these things are. So, my first stop is apparently Pallet Town to go find some old guy and use my nine-year old muscles to get one.
…I wish someone comes and cuts this tree down soon, this Diglett is lookin’ at me funny…
