Cyan, Day 40: Am I a People?

Jostled awake by the movement of the truck, my head screamed in pain. My Pokemon had fallen out of my bag, so I took a few moments to attach them back to my belt. Giovanni may have been a crime boss, but he was a real butt-face. I would have to get my minions to kill him (you know, if they’re alive. Seriously, where were they while I was dying!?)

The cracks in the truck indicated in was a sunny day, probably sometime in the afternoon. My PokeDex seemed to be the only thing besides my feet that did not suffer from any extreme damage.

As the truck seemed to jostle more violently, I had come to the conclusion we were no longer on the road. Then, the truck seemed to glide. That’s weird, trucks don’t fly. I went to grab my Pokeball but I was slammed to the top of the truck. Someone had apparently turned off the gravity.

I let out my Lapras, hoping that it’s severe mass would destroy a part of the truck. I was right, but then both me and Lapras crashed into the water. I sank, Lapras floated like a leaf. Stupid jerk. The world went dark. My eyes started to close and water went to my lungs.

The last thing I remember before blacking out is seeing a man in a very revealing banana-hammock (speedo.) I was on top of my Lapras’ shell, floating back to the mainland, my bag wrapped behind it’s neck. Had the swimmer saved me? Or was I even alive?

Both were good questions.

We washed up on a beach near Fuchsia City, and I let Lapras go back into his ball. Hobbling towards the Pokemon Center, I thought of ways I would be able to get back at Giovanni. I needed to put him in his place.

Walking in the Pokemon Center, bloody, beaten and broken, I grinned at the Nurse Joy and leaned on the counter. She started to give me the pleasant speech when I told her to save it and rolled over the counter, shoving my head into the Pokemon Center Magic Healing Machine (copyright.) There was a lot of lights and I blinked.

I felt fine. Great even. Like a million Chanseys!

… Wait.
