Cyan, Day 6: The Dark Side of Mt. Moon

I chose not to stay in Pewter City too long. After I had defeated Brock, leaving him a broken shell of a man I left the next day. On Route 3 there was few trainers, although weirdly, there was mainly rocks. The few trainers I did see represented few challenges (I sent those youngsters crying home to their mothers) and started up towards the mountains.

Although, in the fray of trainer battles, the weirdest thing happened! My Diglett evolved into a Dugtrio! Personally, I didn’t like the name so I changed it to The Ground Crew Featuring Diglett. I feel even more uneasy about TGCFD though, the fact that something with one body sharing three brains makes it feel as though this world is not meant for something of this great of intelligence (the minute I can find someone willing to trade me a Cubone it’s gone. Actually, not even a Cubone, pretty much anything with only ONE HEAD!)

So, after a brief stop at the Mt. Moon Pokemon Center, I started off into the Mountain. It’s weird, some people have told me of a magical Pokemon that can be caught in these mountains, but all I have been able to find is Clafairys and Zubats (those little bat bastards are everywhere.) I decided it would be a good idea to catch a Clafairy to take around with me, so I maimed one with Charmander (that Clafairy is a “Crispfairy” now) and captured it. Although, it leaves me wondering something.

Where do my Pokemon keep going? Ever since I caught more than six, I haven’t been able to keep them, they keep teleporting out of my pockets. I know I shouldn’t doubt Lugia’s plan for me, but I’m just a little uneasy with the fact that my Pokemon are going somewhere without me knowing! Are they going to a paradise, or a work camp where they are waiting to be sent off into a gas chamber (too soon?) All I knew is the fact was, I needed to get out of these mountains. So, I kicked my running shoes into high gear and bolted through until something caught my eyes… A twinkle of light might be too bold to describe it, but it seemed to be something of interest. I approached it (screw this careful crap, that’s something only a Cool Trainer would do) and to my surprise, an Abra appeared. So, I did the only rational thing a person would do in such a situation.

I threw a large rock at it.

It did work, I knocked it out cold. So, I tried to catch it, but apparently, poke balls don’t work on unconscious Pokemon. I gave up, left the mountains, and wandered into glorious Cerulean City. Well, not so glorious (it’s right next to a bunch of water. I don’t like water. It scares me.) The first thing I got to see was a house that was broken into. I’m debating on investigating it before I have to defeat the Gym Leader here. There looks to be a bunch of motionless people on the bridge on the other side of it, so I may go and see what kind of trouble I can get myself into. So for now, I’m going to try not to go swimming.
