I had the weirdest dreams last night! I dreamt that I was being chased by a giant iced cream cone! That wasn’t the weirdest part. The cone morphed into Purple and challenged me to a battle. I don’t know how this works, but I lost. Thank God it was only a dream (meaning the only thing I lost was some money to pay for the sheets I wet.)
Leaving Fuchsia was not the thing I really wanted to do, although before I could leave, I had to switch my party around. I took Pidgey out of my pocket and deposited him in the computer, taking out my new buddy Electrobuzz. After a quick healing, I walked outside.
Now, Kanto at four in the morning is not the greatest place to be. The sky is black, and always cloudy for some reason. I let my Dodrio out for some air as I yawned at got on his back. I’m not completely sure how a bird without wings can use fly, but Lugia-bless him, cause I arrived in Lavander Town in less than an hour. Before getting on my bike, I picked up a newspaper from inside the Pokemon Center, the only thing with lights on (apparently even though two and a half weeks have passed and Saffron has never looked better!) Shrugging at my good fortune, I sped off to Saffron to go find and defeat the local gym leader.
When I got inside the city, it was filled with Black Shirts. They were EVERYWHERE! The only things that did not have one blocking the door were the Pokemon Center, and the local shop. I stopped in front of a skyscraper, looking up at the enormity of it, when I was spotted.
“HEY!” yelled the Black Shirt in front of the building (my powers of observation are amazing), “What are you doing here, runt!?” I was insulted! How dare he call me little! I was four days away from being ten, thank you! Angry, I picked up my foldable bicycle and walked up to him. Grinning, I cracked him across the face with the blunt mode of transportation and deposited it into my backpack.
Rifling through his pockets, I didn’t find much. I had found a keycard, a wallet saying he was named “Grunt”, and a few Pokeballs. I stared at (chewed on) the keycard for a few moments, studying it, then studying the door. I swiped it through, and the door opened politely saying, “Welcome to Silph Co! Kanto’s leading technology dealer!” The elevator music inside of the building made my entire body shake. It was so creepy! Moving to the elevator (where the music was appropriate!), I hit the button to go to the top floor.
I reached a boardroom as the doors opened in front of me, and I stared in front of me, as a Zubat screamed towards me. I dove underneath a chair, letting the Zubat slam headfirst into the Elevator. I hit the “CLOSE DOOR” button on the panel and let the Zubat be trapped in its makeshift prison. The Black Shirt came towards me, a sneer reaching his face. He kicked over the chair and grabbed me by the collar of my shirt, carrying me to a nearby window.
“Team Rocket isn’t afraid of little ten year old punks like you buddy”, he said, spitting in my face. I will never forget my response to this man’s dirty handed tactics. A swift kick to the Voltorbs. The man fell over, writhing in pain. Spitting on him, I took his hat (I think it looks awesome on me) and thanked him with a kick to his ribs. Grabbing his keycard, I swiped it and opened the elevator doors, the elevator was dark, the light was broken and the Zubat I had trapped was a crisp. I didn’t want to know what happened. I pushed swiped the new card I had collected to go down to a lower floor.
I’m going to interrupt my heroics here and say I love getting up early. You get so much more done!
As I reached this floor, I saw many trainers, and immediately hugged the wall of the elevator. You wouldn’t hurt me wall, you were my friend! I took out my Pokeball, and threw it out the door. Hearing the roar, I knew I hadn’t mixed them up again. Charizard was out, and he was pissed. Many Pokemon were released, trying to subdue the beast, but the blasts of fire and tail smashing were stopping anyone from landing a hit on my magnificent creature. I emerged from the elevator, grabbing Charizards wings as it thrashed around the floor. Subduing it, I returned it and gawked at the number it had pulled on the building. Windows were smashed, glass was melted, but a pad on the floor stood perfectly in tact.
Stepping on it, I was warped to a room that looked like a bomb-shelter. An employee explained he had been hiding their Pokemon in this room, and threw one at me. Hearing my PokeDex prattle on about how Lapras had been sent to the PC, I went through the other warp pad, leading me to another room.
A Team Rocket Grunt ran at me and I moved out of the way, allowing him to warp to the bomb-shelter. Another stared, screaming how Giovanni would never accept this. Who was Giovanni!? Starting up the stairs, the President of the company thanked me, and threw a strange ball at me. A helicopter was waiting at the window, and the man urged me to jump to it. Doing so, it took me to a room, where I finally stayed to finish my day…
