Cyan, Day 42: WHY?!

Why!? Why did I not buy a revive!? I could have bought one right before I left, but I chose not to! Why!!!!!???

Either way, I was stuck at this sudden road block. I couldn’t just swim (I’d get wet!) and I could walk on water, so I was stuck. Watching trainers surf across this small little river is revolting. I want nothing more than to hurt them and take their items from them.

Well, while I was at the river, I decided I might as well take my mind off some things and go fishing. Taking out my Super Rod, I dipped the end in the water. This was nice. I mean, it wasn’t the greatest way to spend my Indigo League experience, but if I had to do it, why not? I mean, it’s not like I would be stuck here forever. All I had to do is wait for some kind soul to come by and bring me a revive. That could happen anytime!

… I’m staying optimistic, if anyone laughs I’ll come to your house and cut give you something to laugh at.

Fishing in the river wasn’t a promising Pokemon catching experience though. I found a Poliwhirl who seemed to be very keen on escaping the waters so much that he found the need to punch me in my gullet. How ungentlemanly! So, I kicked him back into his watery prison and continued to fish.

Next to come up from the surface was an old boot. Now, I don’t know what this boot may be resembling (so far, I haven’t found it in my PokeDex, but it may be something weird) but it seemed interesting. So, I threw out a Pokeball and bam! The boot was caught. My PokeDex says that it’s a Ditto. This thing has got to be broken.

The last thing to escape from the water was a Gyrados. FINALLY! Something worth capturing! I let loose Wang Chung, completely forgetting about the fact that he may be more than useless at this point. Before I could call out an attack, the Gyrados got bored and reeled his head back! Apparently, I was still attached to him by the rod, because I flew across the river in a hurry. Wang Chung looked at me startled as the sea monster went into the waters below, taking my rod with him (and I just had two weeks of payments left to make on it too!) Depositing Wang Chung from the other side, I decided it was stupid to keep going. I was going to die if I went in the cave.

So, I’ve taken shelter outside in this little mini-cave for the time being that’s being inhabited by a very nice old man. He calls himself the Ghost of Marowak, but I think I’m just going to call him Chuck. I wish I could see him without goggles though….

PS: This stupid guy won’t shut up, I’m gonna have to press on to get away from him!
