Cyan, Day 13: What the Muk?

It may have taken the better part of the night, but Rhyhorn finally smashed through the blast door. The place looked fairly abandoned, the lights were not working (stupid electric company! How could the lights not work in their own power station!?) and I was very sure that I could see floating lights flying around the station.

Stepping farther in, I sent out opened my PokeDex to shed some light inside the station. The tiles were very dusty and tinged with spare parts of electrical equipment littered upon the ground. These parts did not look normal, they were pieces of magnets, covered in sludge. All the sudden I heard my PokeDex pipe up saying that Magnamite was an electric-type. I didn’t have much time to turn around before I was in for the shocking of a lifetime!

I don’t remember too much between then and now (I was unconscious the entire time.) I awoke in front of a fire, seeing a large creature that looked like a giant, yellow and black beaver. A small heard of Magnamites stood behind their beaver-leader, as it grinned widely at me. I reached for my PokeDex which identified the Pokemon as “Electabuzz”. What a stupid name for a beaver.

The Electabuzz wore a loincloth (practical, seeing as how a leader should be never nude) to cover up its bad parts from normal view. It screeched at me, and my eyes went wide. Electabuzz needed a breath mint. It picked me up, and proceeded towards the fire. I struggled, even cried, “I’M NOT FOOD!”

This is when my Pokeballs fell out off my belt. All opening as they hit the floor, my Pokemon were unleashed and my Pidgey rammed itself into Electabuzz’s loincloth (it was VERY graphic.) As they did battle I was dropped in front of the fire so the leader and his subordinates could scrap. I rooted and cheered until only the Electabuzz remained. Sending back my other Pokemon, I left Charmeleon to deal with him. He approached Electabuzz, incinerating the loincloth. Electabuzz did not like that. Not, one, bit.

It punched Charmeleon square in the snout, and my reptilian companion blasted more embers in Electabuzz’s face. The beast fell, lifting a cloud of dust. Sending out Pidgey, I deposited Charmeleon and glided out the window, landing on the grass below, in front of the Rock Tunnel. So, I sent Rhyhorn to work on getting me in through the large brick in front of the entrance.
